About ACBuy Spreadsheet Quiet Tracking: who writes it and how facts are checked

An independent guide, written in British English for UK buyers, with every changeable fact dated.

The people and purpose behind these pages

This site provides independent buying guidance based on dated public documentation and catalogue links. It is not run or reviewed by ACBuy, and it does not speak for ACBuy. Where we quote ACBuy we say which article and when we read it.

We built it around one problem: a UK parcel that has stopped updating, and a buyer who cannot tell whether that is normal. Everything else on the site, from the category shelves to the fee table, is there because it changes how a parcel travels or how its tracking behaves.

How facts on this site are checked

Primary sources only for rules and numbers: ACBuy’s documentation centre, its English help centre, the public shipping estimator and its data, and gov.uk for UK rules. The compensation criteria exist only as images, so we read the relevant cells on the original files rather than relying on a transcript.

Where ACBuy contradicts itself, we print both versions and say which document governs, or say that nothing does. Where ACBuy says nothing, we write that, rather than filling the gap with another agent’s rule. Royal Mail and Parcelforce pages block automated checks, so we cite gov.uk’s description of them instead of linking.

Links, money and independence

Category tiles and the search box lead to a product catalogue; links to ACBuy carry a tracking tag in the address so ACBuy can see a visit came from here. There is no invitation code in those links and no discount attached. Check the price, promotions and terms on the destination platform before paying.

We do not publish ratings, star scores or rankings of agents, because this guide evaluates specific published conditions rather than claiming to measure every operator’s service.

Telling us when a page is wrong

Write to [email protected]. Tell us the page, what it says and what you saw instead, ideally with the date and a screenshot. Line changes and new ACBuy notices are the corrections we expect most often. We cannot see or chase your parcel; ACBuy support can.

Each correction appears on the updates page, dated.

This address is for editorial corrections; it does not provide parcel-by-parcel account support, and we will never ask for your ACBuy login, payment details or parcel number. Anyone who does in our name is not us.

What these pages leave out on purpose

Compensation amounts are not worked out here. They depend on the line group, the cover on the parcel and figures only ACBuy holds, and a wrong number would do more harm than none. Delivery-time tables are left out too: ACBuy’s own cards, descriptions and delivery breakdowns do not agree closely enough to print one set as the answer.

We also leave out anything about getting round customs, the declared value or the restricted-item lists, and we do not say how ACBuy treats goods it lists as prohibited beyond what its pages state. If you need those answers, ACBuy’s documentation centre and gov.uk are the places to read, and ACBuy support the place to ask.
